New School of Lace – December 2016
Our November workshop was full of stars and brought colours and shine to lighten up the fall grays. It was great to see many enthusiastic lacemakers working on their lacemaking pillows, weaving delicate plaited lace ornaments with braids, picots and tallies. Those stars will brighten the Christmas season, and awaken memories of old traditions of handmade ornaments. And they are truly different, because they were made with love and dedication – just for the joy of making, and giving and sharing…
New School of Lace weekly classes are still continuing into mid-December, and then we can sit down and look back at the year and cherish all the lace we made. And there was lots of it and many events, fifteen workshops and almost a hundred classses full of lace, creativity and good times.
Well done, lacemakers, thank you!
Of course, we are already preparing workshops for the next year, so here is the list of confirmed events for 2017.
