This workshop is open to lacemakers of all levels, and will explore traditional Venetian Lace technique applied to the natural geometry of frozen water. The Snowflakes can be used as decorations for windows, Christmas trees or tables. They can also be framed in a bangle for the Lace Bangle Exchange, or any other special gift ideas.

Description:
Skills Requirements: Basic stitches, plaited lace. A pattern for complete beginners will be also available.
Instruction will cover: Plaited lace, beading, finishing lace as decoration or pendant
Material: enamelled copper wire 0.2mm (AWG32) and glass crystal beads
Tools:
Beginners: Student lacemaking pillow, special bobbins for wire lace and pins will be provided to each student for use in the class at no cost. Kits will be available for purchase after the workshop at $75.00.
Lacemakers: Bring your own lacemaking pillow (any kind, suitable for small projects) and6 pairs of bobbins for wire lace (Lenka’s Bobbind for Wire Lace – fine or medium), crochet hook size 10-12, jeweller’s cutters, fine nose and round nose pliers, paper scissors, note book.
Workshop fee: $120 + $5 for materials
