“Star Magic!” Wire Lace Ornament

This workshop project, based on patterns from “Edler Sternenzauber”, opens a new universe of lace stars.
On my travels in Germany, I purchased a text book from the Lace School in Abenberg, “Edler Sternenzauber”, because the star patterns looked simple enough to be converted into wire medium. On a closer look, the designs are not that simple, but with some changes and tweaking can be adapted to wire medium. We tested one pattern and new stars were born just in time to make the Christmas season brighter – as decorations, gifts and wearable art.
These stars can be made in various colours of wire with matching or contrasting beads.
